Jo Ann M. Grant started this career when she was a little girl. Exposed to a very amicable mother who always insisted in taking her and her little sister to every single church gatherings, personal parties, school functions (mom being a high school teacher), and several association galas, Jo Ann learned how to socialize. With this acquired talent, she utilized it through her life, from leading high school committee functions to community fundraising services, to assisting personal friends’ and families’ weddings and parties and to her son’s school parent teacher association as the vice president and committee leader.
Married for twelve years to her husband Amoa (Am-wa), he has been persistently urging Jo Ann to get her wedding and event planning business shortly after their wedding. He saw how much passion and enjoyment in her when she planned their wedding and other people’s events and couldn’t see her let her dream get away. Jo Ann couldn’t justify going out on her own so she did not bother entertaining the thought. But over and over, Amoa kept bugging her. Finally, Jo Ann complied, eleven and a half years later (yaaayyy!!!!).
In October 2009, Jo Ann signed up to an on- line wedding and event planning course with Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants, in short, ACPWC, hence, the birth of Apropos Creations, LLC was created.
